Getting Closer!

Today my agency received referrals for families with the LID (log in date) of 7/7/06. China has matched families through the LID of 7/12/06. My LID is 7/14/06. That means I am next!! Sometime in the next 4-5 weeks I will receive my match with my daughter!

Five Long Years

Today marked 5 years since my dossier was logged in to China. My dossier consists of the many documents that need to be notarized, certified, and authenticated by the Chinese Embassy/Consulate and sent to China for adoption of my precious china girl. As many of you know, when I started this process the longest wait was 14-16 months to adopt from China. Little did I know at that time I would be sitting here 5 years later still waiting for my daughter. Even though this has been an extremely long wait, I always had faith that this was the road I was meant to travel down and that in Gods time I would be holding my child one day. Now it seems like my referral is quickly approaching. Can't believe I just said quickly after all this time waiting, but it feels like that all of the sudden. Looks as though I might receive my referral (my match with my sweet baby) in the next batch of referrals possibly arriving at the end of July. If I don't make it in this group, I will definitely be matched with my child in the next round, which is about 4-5 wks later. Hopefully by next post, I will be posting the picture of my daughter!
