Sunday at the Park

We went to Mackle Park for the first time today -- my girl loved it! We had such a fun day. Started by Mommy finally getting that portable DVD player in the car - Aubrey now loves to get into her car seat to watch Barney. Why didn't I get that sooner!!  We played at the park for hours - Aubrey loves the swings. We walked around the lake and fed the ducks while listening to the big band musicians playing in the park. My girl loves to climb up the steps to get to the BIG slide and the tunnel is lots of fun to play peek a boo in.

Update on my sweet girl:

4 more teeth! That makes a total of 8. My poor baby cut 4 teeth in the last 10 days!

Walking!! Aubrey started taking some steps on her own about 2 days before Thanksgiving. Each day she started walking more and more steps between her Mommy and Goppy and Aunt Mo. Aunt Mary arrived for a visit on December 10 (Aubrey was 15 months old this day) --well she took more steps than ever between her Mommy and Aunt Mary! The following day ( Dec 11) my girl just took off -- started standing in the middle of the room and just walked all over the place with this new found confidence. How amazing to see!

Talking! Says Mama, Hi, Baba, Again, Thank you (Ank oo), Goppy (but not in front of Goppy yet), bye bye, That, Wow (especially when looking at the Christmas lights), ruff - definitely knows what a doggy says, quack (loves her ducky bathtub), Done ( when she is done with her meal- also signs this)

Affectionate- she is always great with kisses and waving hi and bye, but the last 4 weeks I have seen a difference in just how much affection she shows her Mommy. I have always received lots of kisses from my girl, but the last 4 weeks she has given her Mommy so many hugs, tight hugs! I am so very lucky - so very blessed!!

Thank you to God and all our angels in Heaven watching over us! What a wonderful way to end 2011 - with my beautiful daughter sound asleep in OUR home!

New friend Helen from the frozen yogurt shop in the mall - Helen is from the province next to Aubreys (also from a city named Fuzhou). Aubrey's face lit up when Helen spoke to her in Mandarin!
